About Rondeau Construction
Back in the late 1980s, I was doing framing work. It was good, honest work—measuring twice, cutting once, showing up early. But I kept seeing the same problem on every job. General contractors would coordinate the trades, but they treated the house like a checklist. The homeowner was just another name on a sheet.
I decided I wanted to run my own jobs—to manage projects from the ground up, to know every detail, and to work with people who cared as much about the end result as I did. So Rondeau Construction started. My family and I built it to do custom homes the right way. Over 35 years, that's exactly what we've done. We've learned every system, every material, every way a home can go wrong—and how to make sure it doesn't.
'We don't just build to code. We build to last.'
— Rondeau Family
We started as framers. That meant we learned early that a house is only as strong as its bones. A weak frame shows up as cracks, settling, and problems that cost homeowners money ten years later. So every project we manage starts with that framing mentality—get the fundamentals right, and everything else follows. We've seen too many shortcuts that looked fine on day one and failed on year five.
Being locally owned means we see our work in the community. We drive past homes we built in 1995, in 2005, in 2015. That builds accountability into every decision. When a supplier tries to sell us a cheaper material, we think about whether it's still good in twenty years. When we hire a sub, we think about whether we'd trust them with our own family's home.
And being a one-stop shop came out of necessity. We realized that coordinating between different specialists meant more time, more miscommunication, more finger-pointing when something went wrong. So we brought expertise in-house—framing, electrical, plumbing, project management, all under one team. That means we're responsible for the whole picture. Not just our piece. We move faster. We solve problems before they become problems. And when a homeowner calls with a question, they're not bouncing between three contractors. They're talking to us.
When you work with us, you're working with a family business that's been doing this longer than most contractors have been in the industry. You'll meet the same people from the first estimate to the final walkthrough. We'll talk you through decisions without rushing you. We'll catch problems you didn't know to look for. And we'll build your home like it's ours—because after 35 years, that's the only way we know how.
If you're thinking about building or renovating, let's talk about what you're envisioning. We'll listen, ask the right questions, and tell you honestly what's possible. No pressure, no sales pitch—just a conversation with people who've been building custom homes since before you were probably born.
